The first match of the series will be played on November 6 (Wednesday).
AFG vs BAN 1st ODI: Sharjah Cricket Stadium is set to host the upcoming Afghanistan vs Bangladesh ODI series starting from November 6 onwards. Afghanistan are coming off a spirited performance against the Proteas, getting the better of them in a three-match series played in September. On the other hand, Bangladesh last played a 50-over game in March this year. Although they won that particular series, they have been out of international practice for quite some time. Ahead of the AFG vs BAN 1st ODI, check out the Sharjah Cricket Stadium pitch report.
Sharjah Cricket Stadium pitch report
The pitch at Sharjah is generally dry and can become dusty. It tends to favor spinners, especially as the game progresses. Initially, the pitch offers good bounce and pace, making it favorable for batsmen. However, as the ball gets older, scoring can become challenging. The skipper winning the toss often chooses to bowl at the venue and try to restrict the opposition to a low score.
AFG vs BAN head to head
So far, Afghanistan and Bangladesh have played 16 matches. While Bangladesh have won 10 matches, Afghanistan has managed to win on six occasions. Both sides played their first ever match back in March 2014.
