England Women’s Cricket Team superstar Danni Wyatt becomes the first player to be traded off in WPL history
Apart from the unusual shocks of Sneh Rana, Issy Wong, and Lea Tahuhu being released, the WPL 2025 Retention List was more or less normal. All 5 teams have gone on to retain their core strength of players. But the highlight was captured by Danni Wyatt who was traded off to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by UP Warriorz (UPW) for a price of 30 lakhs.
As the Women’s Premier League (WPL) ventures into its third season, this is the first time in the history of the league that a trade-off has taken place. The English batter was originally a part of the UP outfits. But now she will be playing her trade with the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Danni Wyatt needs no introduction for cricketing fans. The destructive batter is known to tear down her opponents with her aggressive approach. She will bring a huge wealth of experience for the RCB team as she is the current highest capped International player for England after having played 164 T20Is.

England’s attacking batter Danni Wyatt is set to represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the upcoming TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season following a successful trade from UP Warriorz (UPW). Originally acquired by UPW in the auction for INR 30 lakhs, Wyatt will move to RCB at her existing fee.
Wyatt brings a wealth of experience to RCB, having played 164 T20 Internationals (T20Is) for England – the highest number for any English player in the T20I format.
