According to reports, Lil Durk is implicated in orchestrating a failed hit on rival rapper Quando Rondo in Los Angeles, which resulted in the death of Rondo’s cousin. Franzese highlighted the numerous oversights in the plan, such as booking plane tickets and rental cars on the same day, using their own credit cards, and leaving a digital trail, including text messages from Durk advising against using his name. He emphasized that such disorganized approaches increase the likelihood of informants emerging from within the group, as one of the co-conspirators reportedly has. Franzese drew parallels with notorious criminal operations, such as Al Capone’s Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre, where alibis and careful planning were prioritized, contrasting it with what he sees as the naivety and amateurism in Lil Durk’s alleged plot.
