Prithvi Shaw named in Mumbai’s probable squad for T20s

Prithvi Shaw has been named in Mumbai’s probable squad after he was dropped from the side for being “overweight”. Out of the favour of the selectors at the national level, Prithvi Shaw has no choice but to turn to domestic tourneys and leagues for some game time. The probable list also saw the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur feature on the list – both players who weren’t retained by their franchises ahead of IPL 2025 auction. With the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament set to begin from November 23 and the auction set to be held in Jeddah on November 24-25, the opening game provides the perfect opportunity for the trio to impress the IPL teams.
