T100 Dubai triathlon results: Full finishing order as Brownlee grabs best result of year and McNamee bows out – Elite News

Marten Van Riel underlined why he is the T100 king as he became the first ever men’s World Champion with another quite brilliant win in the Grand Final in Dubai.

He got the better of World 70.3 champion Rico Bogen after another fantastic battle – but there was all sorts of drama in behind too.

Ditlev derailed by mechanical

Not least in the tussle for third where double Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee dusted himself down after a late fall to overhaul Kyle Smith.

And there were plenty of other stories elsewhere too.

Just a week on from his wedding, Fred Funk took seventh place which left him in the 10th and final overall spot which guarantees a contract offer for the 2025 T100 season.

Uber biker Magnus Ditlev saw his race wrecked by a mechanical just as he was bridging up to the front group.

And David McNamee, the only British man to make the podium in the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, signed off his illustrious career with a 12th-placed finish.
