Adam Griffith was RCB’s bowling coach from 2020.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will add Mumbai’s Omkar Salvi to their support staff for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The 46-year-old will replace Adam Griffith, who was RCB’s bowling coach last season. Salvi has ample experience coaching in domestic circuit and franchise cricket.
Omkar Salvi, new RCB bowling coach
Salvi was appointed Mumbai’s head coach in 2023 and helped them lift the Ranji Trophy and Irani Cup this year. The 46-year-old will be RCB’s bowling coach. Salvi has previously ample experience in the IPL, having worked with the Kolkata Knight Riders as their assistant coach in the past.
“He has been appointed as bowling coach for RCB for the forthcoming season; he has expertise and has worked with other franchises too,” a source told Indian Express.
Salvi’s contract with the Mumbai Cricket Association is still intact, and he’ll coach them until March 2025. The Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season would end before the IPL 2025 season, which will allow Salvi to service both Mumbai and RCB aptly.
