Vaibhav Suryavanshi ft. age fraud controversy
Suryavanshi debuted in the Ranji Trophy last season at just 12 years old, with an average of 10 over five matches, reaching a top score of 41. However, he shone brightly in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, scoring nearly 400 runs in five games, solidifying his reputation as a promising young talent.
Soon after Suryavanshi earned his maiden IPL contract, reports of the young batter involved in an age fraud surfaced. However, the youngster’s father has dismissed such claims.
“When he was eight and a half years old, he underwent his first BCCI bone test. He has already represented India at the U-19 level. We have nothing to fear-he is ready to undergo another age test if needed,” Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father said.
