IND vs AUS: India will play in the second Test starting December 6, and will also appear in a practice match vs PM XI on November 30.

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma delivered a speech at the Australian Parliament on Thursday, where he spoke about side’s emphatic 295-run win over the hosts, in the IND vs AUS first Test at Perth. The Indian team is in Canberra right now, where they are scheduled to play a two-day match against Australia’s PM XI, to prepare for the Adelaide Test, starting December 6.

Rohit Sharma’s Team India to Play Practice Match

Not just that, Rohit went on to say, that the IND vs AUS series only strengthens the ties between the two countries. “India and Australia have a long relationship in sports and trade. We enjoyed playing cricket over here. Australia are a challenging team because of the passion of the fans and the competitive nature of the players. It is nice to be up against one of the best teams in the world,” Rohit Sharma said in his speech at the parliament.

“We have achieved success in Australia and recently won a Test match. We want to take the momentum forward. We also want to enjoy the culture. I hope we entertain the Australian and Indian fans in the remaining matches. We look forward to playing good cricket and at the same time, enjoy the country. It is a wonderful place and hopefully we will play good cricket in the next few weeks. It is a pleasure to be here and thank you sir for inviting us,” the captain added.

IND vs AUS Test Series

Rohit had missed the first Test due to the birth of his second child. In his absence, the team under stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah crushed the Aussies by a massive 295 runs. The stars of the match were Virat Kohli, who slammed his 30th Test ton, and Yashasvi Jasiwal and Bumrah himself.

The second Test of the series in Adelaide will be D/N, and Team India would not like to repeat the mistakes of the last tour, where they were bundled out for only 36 in the second innings. Meanwhile, India has an injury issue to deal with, as the participation of Shubman Gill is not confirmed for now.
