Here are remaining player slots for all 10 teams ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction.

The IPL 2025 auction will be a highly anticipated mega event, coming after a two-year gap since the 2022 season. Each franchise can have a maximum of 25 players in their squad. For player retention, all 10 teams were allowed to retain up to six players—five capped and two uncapped. Teams have retained varying numbers of players ahead of the auction.

Punjab Kings have the most work to do at the IPL 2025 mega auction, having retained only two players, meaning they will need to fill their squad entirely through the auction. Chennai Super Kings can purchase up to 20 players, while Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders have the fewest available slots, with 19 spots remaining after retaining six players each.
