In 2011, Sean Price bluntly stated that he didn’t listen to any female rapper. While explaining why he didn’t listen to artists, such as Lauryn Hill and Lil Kim, he said, “They don’t hold my interest.” He pointed out that he didn’t have any personal issues with female rappers before noting that the last female lyricist he supported was MC Lyte. Sean Price also took time to give Rah Digga her props, but still made it clear that he wouldn’t buy an album from any female rapper.
