South Africa has gained a massive advantage in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table after securing crucial points in the South Africa vs Sri Lanka 1st Test.
The Proteas won the match on November 30 by 233 runs at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium. South Africa is still in contention for the WTC 2025 final, with India and Australia occupying the top two positions

Taking over Australia, South Africa is now second on the points table with a percentage of 59.26, asserting that they are one of the two teams that can qualify for the WTC final. They could also dethrone India if they continue their strong form in the next game against Sri Lanka, while India must win their next match against Australia.

India’s chances to qualify for WTC 2025 final
If India wins the five-match Test series against Australia by a margin of 4-0 or 5-0, Rohit Sharma’s team would have a percentage point above 65%. India have strong challenge from South Africa, if they win all the matches, India will find it dificult to qualify. India on thier part have to win all matches against Australia.
